North Creek Warners Bay flood Risk Management Study and Plan - Final Report

Published by NSW Government

Summary

Flood risk assessment for Warners Bay, presented in a comprehensive report.

Description

The primary aim of this study and plan is to provide a more informed understanding of flood risks and impacts across the study area and develop a long-term strategy to manage this risk. The flood risk management study and plan expands upon information provided in the updated North Creek Flood Study, January 2025, to further understand and plan for the nature and extent of flood risk throughout the study area. The Flood Risk Management Study seeks to investigate methods by which to manage existing, future and residual flood risk in the study area, assessing each option for its effectiveness in reducing flood risk, in addition to its economic, environmental and social impacts. The Flood Risk Management Plan documents the decisions for the management of flood risk into the future by presenting a prioritised list of options to implement. This study provided an opportunity to revisit the North Creek Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan (completed in 2010) and re-evaluate flood risk mitigation measures with up-to-date flood modelling undertaken as part of the North Creek (Warners Bay) Flood Study, January 2025.
